My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The room, although spacious and clean, had a strange smell covered up by a scented diffuser. The service was exceptional, especially the front desk staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. The location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions, but there were lingering odors from an overpowering reed diffuser. Dining options were decent, but being repeatedly asked about reservation times was a bit much. Overall, a budget-friendly choice with some drawbacks.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean but very noisy, especially from outside. They lacked proper equipment but were quiet since my room was at the rear of the property. However, it was a bit disappointing to get all the noise from the street, especially on a busy Saturday night.

Rooms

The rooms were small and not well-equipped, and the noise from outside and the water pipes made it quite noisy.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with a convenient location just a 5-10 minutes walk from the beach and the town center. The rooms were cozy and had all the expected amenities for the price, including a refreshment tray and en-suite. The check-in process, done by a welcoming lady at the end of the corridor, gave more of a hostel vibe than a hotel feel. However, the service was lacking as it seemed like the front desk was frequently unattended, and the noise from guests outside was bothersome, limited only between 2 pm to 11 pm.

I found the hotel to be a great value for what you pay. The room, although a bit cramped, was impeccably clean. The service, despite a mishap during checkout, was overall friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for accessing various districts within Portsmouth, but the check-out process could be smoother. The dining experience was adequate for a short stay, and the facilities were decent.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were really very clean and immaculate, ideal for more than 2 nights. They were nice, clean, just like the pictures on the website, complete with tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly, but the downside was that the room was tiny with very basic facilities and it was very noisy at night due to its proximity to the entrance to the property.

The service was a bit of a mixed experience. At first, they were friendly and accommodating, even going out of their way to help me settle in. However, there was a situation where they came to collect money at 10 pm at night, waking me up, and then became really rude when I asked again and ended up parked on the street, costing me £12 for the day.
Location

The location of the hotel was perfect for both the train station and the Portsmouth Dockyard experience. It was very central, close enough to the shopping center, and nice to do anything else than check Facebook, all while having easy access to the town's restaurants and the quayside.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a bit of a hassle with them phoning me 5 times to ask about the booking time. It suited our 1-night stay, although breakfast was not included. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable, which was a plus.
Facilities

The facilities were very basic, and there wasn't anything exceptional to highlight. However, for the price paid, I expected a bit more in terms of amenities.

The hotel is in a decent location, conveniently close to local attractions and easy to access, making it a good choice for a short stay. The staff provided excellent service, especially the friendly and helpful front desk personnel. However, the rooms had some issues, with cramped spaces and inconvenient layouts. The dining experience was average, lacking in communication and variety, but the grilled food was enjoyable.

Although we enjoyed self-service food options, the inconvenience of having to pay in cash due to a lack of a card machine was a downside. The Chambers provided an excellent breakfast experience with the newly installed oven.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Portsmouth Inn's convenient location near Gunwharf Quays and Old Portsmouth, making it easy for me to explore the area. The rooms, although clean, were small and noisy due to outside sounds. The service, despite a late-night request for payment, was helpful and accommodating. However, the lack of included breakfast and the inconvenient payment method at the nearby café left me wanting more. The facilities were adequate, but the hotel's appearance was a bit unassuming at first glance.

However, the dining experience was a bit inconvenient as we had to pay in cash, and the facilities were basic but did the job.
